Application Purpose: HomeHub is a personal smart home management and productivity platform designed to centralize household automations, IoT device control, daily scheduling, and family tasks into one private dashboard.
HomeHub integrates with Google Calendar via OAuth 2.0 to allow authenticated users to seamlessly view, synchronize, and organize their personal schedules alongside their Home Assistant smart home automations and daily to-do lists.
OAuth Scopes Used & Why:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly — Fetches upcoming events to display on the user's home dashboard.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events — Allows users to create, update, and manage calendar events directly from HomeHub.
